What is FCA Camp?

What is FCA Summer Sports Camp?

Well, we're glad you asked! FCA Camps are a time of “inspiration and perspiration” for athletes and coaches. The camp is designed for competitors to reach their full potential through comprehensive athletic, spiritual and leadership training... oh, and FUN!

The Role of the Huddle Leader

We're not bias here when we say our huddle leaders are the best thing since sliced bread.

In fact, camper's responses year after year are that they are the best and most influential part of camp.

Our huddle leaders serve the athletes as mentors both on the field and off the field.  All of our huddle leaders are young, usually college-aged, accomplished athletes who are serious about their sports and their faith.  The huddle leaders volunteer their time during camp to involve themselves in the lives of the kids, teach them their sport, and lead them in discussions about faith in God.

The Quiet Time

Each morning the athletes are given some time to just be quiet, read the Bible and talk with God.  It's great reflection time to chat with God about what they learned the night before during the night session or to pray for a great practice that day.

The Practice

This aint' no Kumbaya camp here! Athletes will be challenged through workouts and training for several hours a day. You will learn or perfect your skills from elite coaches from around the country.

We once heard that Christian Athletes train and compete harder than other athletes... and we believe it!

The Evening Program

(some campers having a blast)                          (our huddle leaders doing the camp cheer)

Each night all the campers from every sport gather in the ball room of the Dubois center along with their coaches and huddle leaders.  The program is an enthusiastic environment with videos, music, highlights from the day, competitions on stage, huddle leader skits, and our inspirational speaker.

Our speaker is always a gifted communicator and someone who can capture the attention of the athlete and engage them in the challenge of growing deeper in a relationship with God.

The program concludes with huddle meetings and talking about the program, the day, and the schedule for the next morning.
