The Fellowship of Christian Athletes engages coaches and athletes to grow in their faith and sport.
We love to connect with athletes and coaches across the state! Contact the FCA staff member in your area. Among other things, they can help you start a huddle on your campus, plug into a local church or register for summer camp.

I first ACCEPTED Christ into my life in 1968, but did not truly KNOW the Lord until 2008 when I finally started reading the Bible. It has been the progression from knowing the Lord to having a RELATIONSHIP with Him that has changed the way I look at life. These truly have been the best years of my life!
I was born and raised in the church. God was always a part of my life. I had great council and role models growing up in my family. It was in college where I realized the difference between knowing about God, and truly knowing God. It was during my time as a student at Trevecca Nazarene University that God revealed himself to me in a new and fresh way. It was through that time I realized God was calling me to live a life of eternal significance.
I came to know Christ by the example set by my parents. I grew up in a home where they showed me what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. My sophomore year in high school I chose to be baptized and started to understand what it meant to make my faith my own.

I gave my life to Christ in the spring of 2000. After a long period of substance abuse following college I had a traumatic experience that almost took my life. After that I realized I had to change and God brought me to my knees in submission and repentance. My life since that day has never been the same. I now live with a higher purpose to glorify God through my actions words and deeds.

Richard and Margie are entering their 19th year of ministry with FCA. Richard started building up FCA huddles in the Southwest side of Tucson and grew the ministry to over 18 high schools with FCA influence in those schools. God has opened up new opportunities for Richard and Margie at the University of Arizona where he is currently the FCA Campus director along with being the team Chaplain for Football, and also meeting with athletes throughout the day, pouring into them and teaching them how to live and play for Christ. Richard also leads different Bible study throughout the week for coaches where he challenges them to build up athletes not just in sports but also in everyday life. Richard still oversees high school FCA ministries that continue to run in his areas also equips and empowers leaders who want to start new FCA ministry in their school. Richard and Margie have been married for over 38 years and have a son, Ross, and daughter-in-law, Jazmin, along with three grandkids, Adrian, Angel, and Kamila.
As a freshman soccer player at the University of Missouri, a teammate invited me to an FCA huddle. It was the first time I heard the gospel and that my sport didn’t define me. Through the course of that year and some crazy life turns, God really captured my heart and my life.

I came to know of Christ through childhood as I learned about Him and felt His presence near me always. Our relationship however did not mature sadly until I became an adult and began a family of my own. Through this redirection phase, I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor and needed surgery asap which would alter life as I had known it. Because of my faith and relationship with Jesus Christ, I knew beyond a doubt I could give my worries and fears to Him. He not only lead me, but held me and shaped me into the woman I am now. I can not imagine life without my Abba.
I first accepted Christ when I was young. However, I didn’t really meet Jesus until midway through my playing career at NAU. They say that God lives at the end of your rope, and It was there that I saw Jesus for the first time. Christ has my heart and hasn’t allowed me to be the same ever since.

I grew up in a loving Christian home believing in God. When I was a junior at NAU, Jesus called me into a personal relationship of KNOWING Him. He’s been MY Savior ever since!
I first invited Jesus into my heart at a high school football camp at Texas A&M University in the summer of 2008. Since then pursuing Christ, not only on a daily basis, but in the sporting world has been a significant objective in his life. While running cross country and track and Dallas Baptist University I began to get very involved with our FCA huddle and worked several camps and fell in love with the ministry of FCA. After getting married in May of 2014 my wife and I felt God’s call to move to Flagstaff in the pursuit of adventure and community. Still honoring that call I am ecstatic to be serving Northern Arizona FCA as an area rep! I look forward to seeing how we can impact lives for the kingdom of The Lord.
A friend invited me to church when I was in school. We moved and I felt God pursuing me through high school and college. There seemed to be more to God than just going to church on Sundays. I came to know Christ by watching others who lived a daily relationship with Him. How freeing this is- performance in sports and life used to create and sustain my identity, but now Christ does! I now live forgiven and enjoy a relationship with God- getting to know Him through His Word and prayer, as the Holy Spirit strengthens and refines me.
I grew up in a Christian home and went to the same church and Christian school my entire life. God used people from each of those areas of my life to expose me to the gospel and who Jesus is and I came to know Christ as my Savior at the age of 10. God also used FCA in a special way in my life when I played basketball at Grand Canyon University and my heart's desire is to be used by God in the lives of coaches and athletes in the East Valley to share about the hope that is found in Jesus Christ.
I first became involved with FCA when I was a freshman pitcher on the Arizona softball team. FCA guided me through my college career and provided the balance to my life that helped me succeed on and off the field.

I'm 22 years old with a background of being born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. I grew up playing basketball and loved it more than anything. It was at FCA Summer Camp in 2012 where I gave my life to the Lord at the age of 16 in high school. I didn't realize that I was in deep need of Jesus until I found myself on the last night of camp lifting my hands, crying like a baby and asking for Jesus to save me and forgive me of my sins. From that point on, my life has been filled with many ups and downs. I wasn't able to play basketball in college due to a knee injury, but I continued to see the Lord's sovereignty throughout my life with allowing me to work for FCA. I love what I do and doesn't seem like a "job" because my passion is to work with young kids and specifically athletes. I'm able to relate very easily with them and I long to see coaches be there for their athletes in the sport they coach and in life. The areas that I serve in FCA are similar to where I lived when I was in high school. It's great to go back into the inner city high schools as a changed young man and bring the Gospel to coaches, athletes and whom they influence.
Age of 5 I accepted Christ into my heart. Fortunate to grow up in a great home where Christ was taught.
The Lord used coaches and sports to impact my family from a young age. It was because of a coach that my family started going to church. Our lives were forever changed and we were all baptized together my sophomore year of high school. I went on to play athletics in college where I learned that my identity and value were not in my sport but in who Jesus said I was!
