Year you started with FCA: 1997

Hometown: Camarillo, CA

Family: Cheri (Wife), Bennett (Son), Brynley (Daughter)

Coaching Experience:
Youth Sports: U6 Coed Soccer CCV Stars, U6 Flag Football - CCV Stars
Basketball: Freshman Boys Basketball Arcadia High School
Baseball: Varsity Baseball Desert Christian High School

How did you come to know Christ ?
During my freshman year at the University of Arizona, God revealed Himself to me in powerful ways. It was at a FCA Huddle meeting in 1988 when I first heard the Gospel. I realized that I was a sinner, and that I needed a Savior. God used baseball to get my attention and speak my language at the McKale Center, and my life has never been the same since that night I responded to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why do you work for FCA?

Two major reasons.

1) The Antigua and Ping Golf shirts we receive every year at various FCA events really enhance the wardrobe.

2) Monday Special at the Matador for staff lunches.

Goals/Vision for this year with FCA:

My goal is to see Coaches across Arizona seize their platform and become “double win” coaches.

The definition of a double-win coach is:

Coaches who win a ton of ballgames, and win their players to a life long adventure of serving Jesus Christ because of the way coaches acted, competed, and lived out the Bible in a tangible way for all to see.

Life Mission statement:

Matthew 5:16 Radiate JC

Favorite sports team: Green Bay Packers and whatever Youth Sports team I am coaching.

Favorite food: In-N-Out Burger, Pepsi, and Jalapeno Sunflower Seeds

Favorite athlete: Ryne Sandberg

Favorite restaurant: Carrabbas

Favorite book: Philippians, Experiencing God, and Season of Life

Favorite Bible verses: Matthew 5:16 AND Colossians 3:23

Favorite sport: Baseball

Favorite movie: Caddyshack and Field of Dreams

Favorite Superhero: Cheri, Bennett, and Brynley

Colossians 3:23 ALL IN

Began with FCA: Jan 1999

Hometown: Tucson Arizona

Family: Wife of 30 years- Margie, Son- Richard Ross

How did you come to know Christ? In early 1987 I found myself in bondage to drugs and alcohol, and turned myself in to a drug rehab center to get my life in order. While I was in the treatment center my brother Lino started to minister to me about a relationship with Jesus Christ and by the time I was released from rehab I was so ready to give my life to Christ. On March 1,1987 I surrendered my life to the Lord and he delivered me from my life of drugs and alcohol.

Why do you work for FCA? I believe that God has given FCA the keys to every campus to reach thousands of athletes and coaches for his kingdom. We can change the culture of sport as we know it teaching biblical values to coaches.

What are your goals or vision for this year with FCA? To continue to walk through every door that God opens for us, and be faithful in the calling God has for us.

Life mission statement or favorite quote or verse: ONE DAY ONE CHANCE is my favorite quote because that is the way my brother went out fighting. He realized that he just had to win the daily battles that life brought his way and that is the same way I want to live my life.

Favorite sports team: Arizona Wildcats, The Raiders Nation are the only teams that matter

Hobbies: Hanging out with my son Ross. Golfing, softball, bike riding

Began with FCA: 2008

Hometown: Peoria, AZ

How I came to know Christ: My dad came to know the Lord in 1997 after my parents divorced. He shared with me about a personal relationship with Christ. I saw the real change in my dad’s life and the rest is history. Jesus saved me from my sin and myself and I’m living a changed life for His glory!

Why do you work for FCA? FCA met me where I was. As a young athlete, my life revolved around softball and me. God used FCA to help me integrate my sport and my faith, ultimately leading me to know Him more. I love being able to talk to coaches and athletes about their passion (their sport), then combining that with the passion of Christ (us).

What's your vision for this year with FCA? I am excited to see how God will use this year to develop relationships with coaches and athletes on local campuses. I want to provide opportunities for people to be impacted in a positive way.

Life mission statement or favorite quote or verse: Acts 20:24 “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me, the task of testifying to the Gospel of God’s grace.”

Hobbies: Hiking, working out, watching baseball, softball camping

Began with FCA: 2007

Hometown: Jackson, TN

Family: Trent (Husband), Grayson Paul (Son)

How did you come to know Christ?

I was saved when I was 8 years old at my home church during a week long revival. Unfortunately I didn't really start growing in my faith walk with Christ until I was about 19. The Lord really started working in my life after several rock bottom experiences and I knew that He was calling me to something bigger than anything I could do on my own. The Lord began to place opportunities in my life to minister to young girls and women who were struggling with similar strong holds that God had so graciously freed me from. My heart to see young women grow in their love for Jesus grew stronger and stronger and God continues to grow that passion on a daily basis.

Why do you work for FCA?
I love sports and always have, I just never knew that is would be such a huge part or my life. In August of 2005 God placed an amazing man of God in my life and we were married in September of 2006. He has been a college women's basketball coach for over 10 years and I feel blessed to be able to combine athletics and ministry not only with FCA but in my marriage and relationship's with Trent's basketball girls. God has truly combined my love for sports and my passion for women's ministry in such a unique way and I believe it is all for His glory and the furtherance of his kingdom.

What are your goals or vision for this year with FCA?
My heart is to be a blessing to those I work with and for athletes to see Christ real and active in my life. I want to come along side my co-workers and help them in any way I can to bring about the mission and vision of FCA in the lives of coaches and athletes.

Life mission statement or favorite quote or verse:

“May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:14
