                            Jerry Kindall and Donnie Payne

I’ve been coaching baseball in Arizona for 39 years.  Every year, I try to better myself as a coach by attending every clinic I can.  Our state baseball coaches put on an annual clinic – it used to rotate between ASU, Grand Canyon, and the University of Arizona with each Head Coach and staff conducting the clinic.

At one of the first clinics that Jerry Kindall hosted at the U of A, he not only taught baseball, but he ended the clinic by giving a scripture reference, and a plan of salvation.  Through this testimony and seed planting, I accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Coach Kindall is a Christian coach who stands out, and stands up for God!  He coached baseball as if he might be the only Jesus his players might see. He’s a LEGACY!!

I try to model my coaching after Coach Kindall where all glory goes to God.
